You can't own an actual island exactly, however, as you only own the lot on that island the land itself is the same as in the base game. So in The Sims 3: island Paradise there is an all new world. They can focus on family vacations, couples therapies, or even single digital nomads looking for extended stays. It's called Isla Paradiso and you will notice that it's got a lot of islands. On the main island you can find the centre with the basic rabbit holes and. As far as I know, you can own more than one lot now, so I presume you can own a houseboat and an island lot. Now you probably know that some time ago the option was added for Sims to swim in the ocean. Isla Paradiso consists of multiple islands and seems to be bigger than other worlds.
The game runs perfect in all the other worlds so I am assuming it is just the IP world with all its routing issues etc. Also keep in mind Isla Paradiso is a few separate islands, so some of those empty lots will be on the outer edges and quite far away from major hub areas of the world.ĮDIT: Just realised I missed your second question. Hi, The Isla Paradiso world is extremely laggy on all of my computers, even my high spec gaming PC. There is one 64圆4, one 60圆0 and one 50x50, but the rest are all generally quite small (and there are a few odd sizes too, like a 21x15). However, 20 empty lots is about the average for the different worlds (Sunset Valley, Riverview and Moonlight Falls all have a few more, but places like Bridgeport and Twinbrook only have 6 and 8 ).ĭon't forget though, the lots all vary in size and may not fit SPECIFIC lots from Ambitions and Pets.
That said, trying to squish the lots from other expansion packs, such as the lounges/bars/clubs from Late Night or venues from Showtime is hard.

I believe there are 20 empty lots, plus ones on the hidden islands, so there should be enough for just the Ambitions and Pets lots (Consignment Store, Fire Station, Junkyard, Laundromat, Salon, Equestrian Center, Horse Ranch, Cat Jungle, Dog Park and even the Pet Store).
