The thing is, I've found that the software for the colormunki has always been a bit weird and tricky with the before and after comparisons section, for example I've seen it previously compare against a different colour profile than the one the monitor had prior calibration, some generic one rather than what had been in place previously.įor curiosity I decided to switch to the one the monitor had prior to calibrating, in the system preference for display in the 'color' tab. I did the comparisons, the change was very very subtle although I found this reassuring because I figured that meant that out of the box the colour was pretty much accurate within the spec and limitations of the monitor itself.

As far as I can tell the colour seems fine to me, but since I have one and since I will be doing video editing I thought I may as well use my colormunki to calibrate the monitors.
